About Me

I started my adventure into the world of Lindy Hop at a similar time and in a similar fashion to Karl. One of my work colleagues (Helen) already danced in Leicester and had found a class in Birmingham taught by Frankie Jaffey and Philip Morkand. She suggested I went with her as a change to my usual Salsa class. I was hooked straight away and here I am teaching others!!!

Over the last few years, I’ve had loads of opportunities to dance and learn from some fabulous teachers / dancers / people. I’ve danced locally and nationally, including some emotional times at Bristol Swing Festival. I have even danced on a boat sailing down the River Danube!!! It’s all passed in a blink of an eye, and there are a lot of fun memories to cherish.

Although I dance with Karl, I have another man in my life – my husband Ben.  We got married this year, and we have been known to dance together! It is with Ben, I have started a proper adventure into Balboa. Balboa Workshop.

I hope I can continue to pass on the fun, relaxed atmosphere I’ve come to know and love about the Swing dance scene, and hopefully even get more people to dance!
