Birmingham’s first regular Collegiate Shag classes
Collegiate Shag – a partner dance done primarily to uptempo swing and pre-swing jazz music (185-250+ bpm).
Covering the basic footwork, close and open dancing and a couple of break steps. All you need to get going on the dance floor with this fun dance.
Improvers Lindy Hop – Know the basics and want more?
Six week blocks working on rhythms, syncopation and variations to step up your social dancing.

Beginners Collegiate Shag : 7.30pm
Come and learn the basics of Shag in a fun, friendly and relaxed class.
Improvers : 8:45pm
Know the basics? Learn how to improve your social dancing with variations, musicality and technique tips.
£6.50 per class
Student discounts on production of NUS card.

Classes run in 6 week blocks.
Attire
What do I need to dance
We recommend leather soled shoes and casual clothing.
The Corks has air conditioning and you have access to the bar downstairs for those wanting a drink.
