My Lindy Hop journey started in 2008 when a work colleague convinced me to attend the regular class in Kings Heath taught by Frankie Jaffey. Initial sceptical having never danced I dived in. After the initial two left feet moment I was hooked. The music, the atmosphere and the dance, I wanted more. So after attending classes and socials my confidence grew and I embarked on my first weekend workshop at the Bristol Swing Festival. It transformed my dancing. Not in the overnight I got better sense, but in the fantastic people of the swing dance scene. The journey continued with more workshops including European excursions eventually leading to an opportunity to teach in 2013.
So here I am now sharing my passion and knowledge, getting people into the exciting world of swing dancing. Still learning, practising and most of all enjoying dancing.
